European Chemical Industry Forum 2026

Global competition for investment, technology and manufacturing capacity is accelerating rapidly. European industry is facing growing pressure from the United States and China, geopolitical tensions, uncertainty over energy and raw material supplies, and high operating costs.

Against this backdrop, the European Union faces a fundamental challenge: how to reconcile the energy and climate transition with the need to restore the competitiveness, resilience and security of its industrial base.

At the heart of this debate is the chemical industry – a strategic sector whose products and technologies are integral to almost every key value chain of the European economy. Energy, automotive, construction, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, electronics and defence industries all depend directly on a strong and competitive chemical industry. The future of the European chemical industry is inseparably linked to the future of European industry as a whole.

The second edition of the European Chemical Industry Forum will provide a platform for strategic discussions on the industrial policy Europe needs today and how to create the conditions necessary to sustain manufacturing, attract investment and foster technological development across the continent.

This year’s discussions will focus on the challenges that will directly shape the operating conditions for European industry: global competition and the risk of deindustrialisation, energy and raw material security, supply chain resilience, and the future of European industrial policy. We will also address the EU ETS and CBAM, regulatory simplification, conditions for new industrial investment, and the technologies and infrastructure needed to support the transformation of energy-intensive industries.

The Forum will bring together representatives of the Polish government, European Union institutions, the European Parliament, European industry associations, leaders of major companies, and experts in industrial policy, energy and competitiveness.

Participation in the event is free of charge.

Registration Schedule

Registration for ECIF 2026 takes place in two stages:

From 12 October 2026 – the first registration round, reserved for representatives of members of the Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry (PIPC), representatives of ministries, government offices and other public administration institutions, as well as representatives of invited industry associations and partner organisations, including international organisations.

From 26 October 2026 – the second registration round, open to all other individuals interested in attending the Forum, subject to availability.

Several days before the event – the Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry will contact registered participants to confirm their attendance.

Due to the high level of interest and the limited number of places available, the Polish Chamber of Chemical Industry will contact you to request final confirmation of your attendance at ECIF 2026.
